Recently I've been receiving violin lessons from one of the greatest violinists on the planet. Not face to face of course. I couldn't possibly afford to pay for that! Instead, I paid just $29.95 to download ViolinMasterPro, a series of videos from master violinist & teacher Dr. Eric Lewis.

Dr. Lewis has some serious credentials. You can do a search on Google for him if you've never heard the name. But he's world famous, and now performs each day from my laptop.

Sometimes I reckon I'm a decent violinist, but I suppose a true professional violinist would refer to me as a "newbie". That's why I concluded, "How far wrong can I go with these video tutorials?" Worst case senario, I'd be a few dollars worse off.

But now after spending a few weeks on this course, I can tell you - I am a MUCH better violinist than I used to be.

In one of these video lessons, Dr Lewis demonstrates how to take a composition you've never listened to before, and just play it off the cuff ... and play it VERY well. I always reckoned that was one of the powers that set a professional apart from an amateur. So by that definition, I'm now a professional too!. And my self-confidence has gone through the roof.

As you will be able to work, I'm having a great deal more fun in my life right now. And some of the alterations I've made are really fundamental. You'd imagine that after 25 years of playing and a string of very good tutors, I'd at least have my arm and wrist in the correct position. But Dr. Lewis gave me only one tip on correct wrist position that's made a vast difference in the energy I can put into the music I play.

The step-by-step teaching in these video tutorials is easy enough for even a beginner to follow. But I'm sure even skilled violinists will get some priceless tips from of them. I reckon it doesn't matter who you are or what you do, you need a good tutor. Anyone who wants to improve their violin-playing needs Dr. Lewis as their coach.
